People who hate politics hate it for a lot of different reasons and I am not attempting to find the biggest one. I think what happens to people when they get involved in fighting a local issue is they become surrounded by people who want more. "Please dedictate more time", "Please fight my issue to", "Please help find more people to help", are what people run when they get involved not "Thank you coming I appreciate what you have done please don't feel guilty if you can't do more".

We all need to help fight against these fees and the added costs of getting the money from us. There are people here willing to take a stand, and we're trying to organize that...so let's work together on this.

Joan,
I think I finally figured out all these new sites, including this one:
Everyone wants to be a "Chief" and no one wants to be a "Indian"!
I hope you get the metaphore! ;-)

I'm quite content being an Indian, Claude. ;)

I think we should all do as much as we're able. When I pass out a flyer I ask people to just take a look and if they feel motivated to do something, or ask "If you find yourself one night going through all the channels on the t.v. and don't find anything worth watching, just get up and write one email or one letter or make one phone call...nothing more"
This usually gets a halfway decent response. I think that everyone ought to do at least something to make the world a little better, or just shut up and never complain.
I like it that there is a small contingent of free thinkers who can't chew on the high degree of bull that comes down the pike...... and spit it right back at them....

I agree and wish that's how it is...but the sad fact is, most people like to complain, but few will actually do something. Me, I've never been one to just sit back and let everyone else do all the work....so I do what I can to help change the wrongs and make things better for all of us. I can't change the world, but I can do something to feel I've earned the right to complain.
