Mayor's Intimate Friend Scott Teagle getting Paid, Big time!

Do you remember this fellow? His name is Scott Teagle. He was an administrator when Peyton got into office. He is, shall we say, a long-term close friend of our mayor and has been a very close, intimate friend of Mayor Peyton for years and years. Teagle's closeness to Peyton serves to make the information below even more questionable and damning. As we all know that being very close to another can cause one to make some serious mistakes. Well this sure hell looks to be one of them. Talk about shady. Get out your flashlights folks!

You see, not to long after Peyton took office, it was suggested that perhaps it would be better if Mr. Teagle left his position as a City administrator and perhaps took an individual with him that worked on the mayor's campaign. So Teagle and the other fellow left and opened up something called Pro-Logic Consulting Inc, a sort of all inclusive name for a franchise sort of a deal that anyone, who pays for the privilege, can open up in their name. Amazingly, this brand new "business" with no track record and no other clients to speak of started receiving checks from the city. Yes indeed, tax dollars floating like manna from the sky, right into the pockets of Scott Teagle and his other friend. Seems the mayor and his administration were using Scott as some sort of "adviser". YeeHaw..... Teagle was such a good adviser that he advised the mayor that they could pay him a few hundred thousand dollars of tax money which he received in over sixty payments, in less than a three or four month period. That's 60 plus!!! Then got even more checks this year. Damn, the boy must be good huh? Cause this company that appeared out of thin air, after Teagle left the city, owned in part by one of Peyton's campaign people and best friend, has been paid over..... Get ready for this one -- $340,000.00. Yessiree, a ton of money, people. Our money. We are getting shafted folks. This deal is prime for the State Attorneys office, which is right where it is headed.

The first document you will see below is directly from the city and is a lengthy listing of payments via checks made to Pro Logic (Teagle). (Double click on the white document to enlarge it.) The second document shows the "business" that was set up to collect all that money. Read em an weep. The mayor's great claim is that the city has no money, that he has a tight budget but there seemed to be over $340,000.00 available to a brand new company that just happened to be owned by the Mayors very good friend and former campaign worker.

It is also interesting to note that even though Teagle was no longer with the city, he was still included in emails and activities with which the city administration and elite were involved. He even made a trip or two to the "Sky Box" with the mayor, refreshments on us... the taxpayers and one or two "business excursions" to boot.

Obviously, this is disgraceful and Peyton should be called onto the carpet with answers. I'm of course, curious as what other companies placed bids (yeah right) and how this brand new company of Teagles was awarded the business. Aside from that,:thinking: I'd like to know just what all this "consulting" was needed for...that's a lot of payments...guess Peyton just didn't know much about whatever business dealings he was handling for the city, since he needed so darn much consulting...:giggle:

It is a questionable practice, given the close personal friendship and campaign activities of the principals of the vendor to the current Mayor. I would be interested in learning the following:

1. What services, exactly, were provided?
2. Was there a competitive RFP process for this project?
3. Who else bid on the invitation to propose and what were their terms?
4. How my new consulting firm, Fly-By-Night Consultants, Inc. can get a sweetheart deal like this?! (I was kidding about the last one.)
